The CloudLinux OS team is pleased to announce that CL9 + cPanel is now ready for production use. After eagerly awaiting the stable release of cPanel version 118, we can now officially confirm its availability. For detailed information on supported operating systems for cPanel, check out the official documentation here.
Importance of CL9 Migration
With the deprecation of CL6/7, migrating to CL9 becomes crucial. It’s essential to have CL9 as an option for seamless migration from older systems.
Previous Announcement
For those unaware, we previously announced the support for cPanel in CL9. You can find the details in our previous release blog post.
How to Install CL 9 with cPanel
- You can install CloudLinux OS 9 on a new server from the ISO image
or - Convert an existing AlmaLinux 9 server to CloudLinux 9.
Important Note for cPanel Users
If you have a server with already installed cPanel + CloudLinux via experimental flag –experimental-os=almalinux-9.2 , as we described here, it is highly recommended to reinstall the server from scratch to avoid unexpected behavior.
