We are pleased to announce the launch of the CloudLinux Network (CLN) API v2. This is a significant step forward in our mission to provide powerful, modern tools that help you automate license and server management, streamline your workflows, and integrate CloudLinux products directly into your environment.
Whether you’re looking to automate provisioning for new clients or manage a fleet of servers at scale, the CLN API v2 provides the tools you need for robust, programmatic control over your licenses.
What’s New in the CLN API v2?
This is a major upgrade designed to provide a powerful, flexible, and developer-friendly experience for all our customers.
- API Access for All: API access is now available to all customers through the CloudLinux Network, making automation a possibility for everyone.
- Complete License & Server Management: Programmatically create, retrieve, and manage license keys for CloudLinux OS, Imunify360, KernelCare, and ELS products. You can also list and manage your registered servers without ever needing to log into the CLN user interface.
- Superior Interactive Documentation: We’ve moved from a static PDF to a modern, interactive Swagger UI documentation portal. This live reference includes request/response examples and makes exploring the API simple and efficient.
- Unified & Consistent Endpoints: Manage all key-based products through a consistent set of endpoints (e.g., /v2/keys, /v2/servers), which simplifies your code and makes integrations more predictable.
- Expanded Functionality: We’ve added new endpoints that give you more control over your account. You can now manage feature permissions, post custom usage data, and access enhanced IP-based license management tools.
- Organization at Scale: Arrange servers into logical groups for easier management of Imunify and KernelCare configurations across your infrastructure.
Getting Started
To begin using the API, you first need your unique API secret key. You can find it in your CLN account dashboard under Settings → Account details → Personal information.
A Note on API v1
For those currently using our previous v1 API, it will continue to be supported, and there is no end-of-life date at this time. However, all future enhancements and new features will be exclusive to API v2. We encourage you to migrate your integrations to take full advantage of the improved functionality and modern architecture.
