Welsh Azure User Group November Meetup
The Welsh Azure User Group had their November meetup. In this months meetup they had a couple of folks from Admiral, an insurance company based in the UK. They described their journey to WVD as part of the COVID19 Pandemic. It was really interesting to hear how they managed to leverage WVD so quickly. You can watch the session here:
A Introduction to MSIX App Attach
MSIX App Attach is very quickly going to be very very hot due to the imminent release of the allocation of apps via the portal. Ryan Mangan has written a book which is due to be released on the 7th December. This book will be a must read for anybody who is working with WVD. The Evolution of End User Computing with NetApp
Tech Field Day have released a YouTube video of their session that they did with Chuck Foley and Mike Walsh from NetApp. As part of the session they discussed the challenges of VDI at enterprise scale and presented the NetApp VDS Solution. You can check out the video here:

Open Remote App from a started WVD session
Our very own Patrick Kohler has shared a blog post in which he details how to open a RemoteApp from which a WVD Session. Those people used to a Citrix world will know that this is common practice within Citrix, but not so much in the WVD world. Patrick shows you how to achieve something similar in WVD. Microsoft WVD Certification survey
Microsoft are in the process of sharping an official certification for Windows Virtual Desktop, and they need your help! They have released a set a survey on what exam content may be relevant. Windows Desktop Client updated to v1.2.1520
Microsoft have updated the WVD Client to v1.2.1520 in the Insiders ring. There are 2 changes, a list view for remote apps and changes to the icon which appears when an update for the client is available. What’s new in Windows Virtual Desktop
Microsoft have updated their What’s new in Windows Virtual Desktop post which they update on a monthly basis. For the October update they have described their updates for:
