As you know each week we will release a new video covering a different topic in more depth. The content will be mostly technical but will also cover services that are feasible with the features. Keep an eye out on this blog site to see when a new video is released.
In this video I’m joined by Joerg Lew (Staff Technical Product Manager) and Romain Decker (Staff Technical Product Management) to discuss Terraform vCloud Director Provider 3.1 release and NSX-T support. Please note that although vCloud Director is an old brand name, it is still the official name of the Terraform project. Automation is key for our providers to drive consistency and speed whilst reducing operational costs, put simply – the more you can automate the better. So using Terraform makes a lot of sense to deliver infrastructure services for your customers, but also for your customers to drive their own infrastructure too. 3.1 of Terraform vCloud Director Provider 3.1 was released in December 2020 and now has support for NSX-T edges. Romain steps us though this new support and how it can be used to configure and replicate NSX-T edges and their functions. More NSX-T support is on it’s way as you can see from the GitHub change request log , but for now there is plenty to automate!
