The year’s first VMworld took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, and saw some 30,000 attendees work their way out to the United States in late August to see the future of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, security and mobility. In Mid-September, however, we brought VMworld to Europe for VMworld 2017 Europe. Much like it’s U.S. brother, VMworld Europe saw an outpouring of 11,000 attendees in Barcelona, Spain.
If you missed either, don’t worry. Our keynote playback pages for VMworld U.S. and VMworld Europe can be found here and here, respectively. But we do have to warn you: VMworld Europe was a not-to-miss event. To get a better idea of what we’re talking about, check out this video below:
In short, the cloud is growing at a rapid pace and is enabling startups and enterprises alike to enjoy the opportunities the technology provides. For example, Mohamed Saad, IT Director at Khatib & Alami, said his company chose VMware solutions to capitalize on the infrastructure they already had while enjoying the agility and scalability virtualization offered.
Likewise, Leonida Mutuku, CEO of Intelipro, said the cloud helps her growing organization to focus on what they do best, helping organizations develop new financial products, rather than maintain and update their infrastructure, so they can better service their customers.
And we’re not stopping. Our own Ajay Patel, Senior Vice President and General Manager of VMware Cloud Provider Software, said he’s confident VMware’s continue to contribute to our partners’ success by providing a seamless migration to the multi-cloud — on-prem, off-prem, hybrid and more.
We expect our partners will be able to derive even greater value from VMware as they continue to use and deploy more of our technology in the near future. We know our partners are excited about that future, and we’re looking forward to working with them to “realize what is possible”. See you at VMworld 2018!
